Polyplate™ Melamine Foam is a thermoset polymer which is made of melamine resin. The open-cell foam exhibits the feature of a three dimensional net structure. This structure renders foam effective in blocking noise and for thermal insulation. Using melamine resin as the raw material, SG Melamine Foam itself has superior fire retardant ability. The melamine foam also possesses the features of excellent temperature resistance and thermal stability. It can maintain its physical properties at extreme temperatures. In the electronics industry, this foam is normally compressed to 15%-20% of its original thickness for the best sound absorbing effect. The standard foam colors are white and grey. Other colors are available upon request.
